IC Shipbrokers herewith welcomes you to today’s freight market report. We are giving you an insight in today’s freight market and an update with the latest freight market indications.

It was a good Friday with good activity in the dry cargo segment, and with improving outcome for most sizes.

The capesizes today had a good day. The rates in the Far East were with good increases, and in all other areas the rates were with slight positive increases too, so a good end of the week. For the panamax size it was more positive news today, with the South East Asia and Brazil positions having another day with increasing rates, and with all other areas with stable or little falling rates in worst case.

The market for the supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage was today again having stable rates without much movement. The supramax tonnage was with basically stable or with little falling rates in most areas and directions. For the handysize segment the market was with little increasing rates in South America and South East Asia and with stable rates in all other areas and directions.

The European coaster market was again with little activity. In the Baltic Sea area or on the Continent the freight rates were again under little downward pressure. The freight rates in the Black Sea area are now with further falling rates and the Mediterranean had a further day with stable rates.

The tanker market was with good activity. The crude oil tankers had again slightly lower freight rate levels in most areas, and the product tanker market was suddenly with increasing rate levels from the various loading areas.
