IC Shipbrokers herewith welcomes you to today’s freight market report. We are giving you an insight in today’s freight market and an update with the latest freight market indications.

It was a day with okay activity in the entire dry cargo segment, but with little negative tendency in the larger bulkers.

The capesizes had today little less activity. The rates in Fareast or Pacific Basin were with slight falling rates, and in all other areas and directions with stable rates. For the panamax size it was with unchanged activity and the result was a day with falling rates in Fareast but with stable rates in all other areas and directions.

For the supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage the market today was again with decent good activity. The supramax tonnage in US Gulf was with slight increasing rates, and had stable rates in all other areas and directions. For the handysize segment the market for a further day was with stable and mainly unchanged rates in all areas and directions.  

The European coaster market was today with little improving activity. In the Baltic Sea area or on the Continent the freight rates were today stable. The freight rates in the Black Sea area were with quite some falls again and the Mediterranean today was again with stable freight rates.

The tanker market was today with fair activity. The crude oil tankers were again with stable or slight increased freight rate levels in most areas and directions. For the product tanker market, it today was with slight falling freight rate levels from the various loading areas.
