China based COSCO SHIPPING Development has announced that its 700 TEU electric container vessel (N997) on 26th July was successfully launched at the local No.1 Shipyard of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou).
COSCO SHIPPING Development states that this vessel marks a significant advancement in the adoption of fully battery-powered vessels in inland waterways, and the company will continue its development of green, zero-carbon shipping solutions by being committed to promoting and implementing electric vessels in both domestic inland and coastal waters, it mentions in its statement.
