Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd through its subsidiary EMA is buying six and five units of LNG dual-fuel container vessels at two shipyards. The company reported the acquisitions on February 12 but didn’t specify in its announcement the delivery date of the eleven units in total.
The new orders are placed at Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd.
Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd. has won an order of six units of 24,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessels. The unit price is between USD 265.0 million and USD 295.0 million per vessel, or the total transaction price is between USD 1.59 billion and USD 1.77 billion.
Evergreen Marine Corp. has also placed an order at Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. for five units of LNG dual-fuel container vessels.
Guangzhou Shipyard International Co. has won the order of five units of 24,000 TEU containerships.
The unit price is between USD 265.0 million and USD 295.0 million per vessel, or the total transaction price is between USD 1.325 billion and USD 1.475 billion.
