Hong Kong based Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has taken delivery of one more 24,188 TEU mega container vessel and thereby strengthen the company’s fleet. The newbuild container vessel was yesterday named “OOCL Felixstowe” at the Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) shipyard in China.

OOCL had invited guests, partners and customers to witness the naming ceremony and the moment when the vessel was named by Ms. HE Lijun. 

“OOCL Felixstowe” is the fourth out of twelve eco-friendly 24,188 TEU vessel to be received by OOCL and the vessel will be serving the Asia-Europe LL3 service with her three sister vessels, calling in their schedule Shanghai / Xiamen / Nansha / Hong Kong / Yantian / Cai Mep / Singapore / Piraeus / Hamburg / Rotterdam / Zeebrugge / Valencia / Piraeus / Abu Dhabi / Singapore / Shanghai.
