Italy´s liner company Ignazio Messina, one month after the delivery of the sister ship “Jolly Argento”, also took delivery of the “Jolly Oro” (ex “Northern Priority”) in the port of Singapore.
The vessel was built in 2009 by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, South Korea, and has a capacity of 4600 teu. The ship is 264.32 meters long and 32.20 meters wide.
Daewoo Shipbuilding is the same shipyard that had built and delivered Ignazio Messina’s first four Ro/Ro container vessels between 2011 and 2013, as it is mentioned by the company.
After sailing from Singapore, the vessel will call the Chinese ports of Xiamen and Guangzhou to load part of newly acquired containers.
Like its twin “Jolly Argento”, the “Jolly Oro” will operate on the ESA (East South Africa) line.
