The container liner company Ocean Network Express (ONE) is claiming a new world record with the loading of 21,954 twenty-foot equivalent (TEUs) containers on board a single ship.
The ONE Integrity (235,311 gt) Liberian-flagged is reported to have broken the record with a laden load of 21,954 TEUs at the Port of Singapore earlier this month.
The ONE Integrity is a 24,000 teu vessel that is deployed on ONE´s Far East Loop 3 (FE3) Service.
“We are happy to announce that the ONE Integrity achieved a world record laden load at the Port of Singapore earlier this month. Pictured below, the vessel achieved a record breaking laden load of 21,954TEUS,” ONE said on X.
Yuji Otsuka, senior vice president of Global Vessel Operations, commenting on this record said, “This is made possible due to the close collaboration between the various teams in ONE. Beyond just numbers, this loading is significant as we are able to support the efficient transportation of customer cargo while lowering the CO2 emissions.”
Ocean Network Express (ONE), was formed in 2017, through the integration of the liner businesses Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK).
The company currently ranks as the world’s sixth largest container carrier with a fleet size of about 1.69 million teu, operating more than 220 vessels.
ONE is a member of THE Alliance (THEA), a global ocean carrier consortium.
