Carlos Pena takes over the reins of CTM from Radziwill as new CEO

A new era begins at Monaco’s C Transport Maritime (CTM) as Carlos Pena takes over the reins of the business.

Carlos Pena, having for the past seven years the role of chief commercial officer (CCO), takes the leading role in managing the company as the new chief executive officer (CEO).

C Transport Maritime, a management company primarily in the dry cargo ocean transportation industry with strong Greek and Italian shipping roots, also announces that John Michael Radziwill, the company’s chairman and CEO since 2010, has stepped down from his role as chief executive officer (CEO) and will continue to serve in his role as CTM’s chairman.

Furthermore, John Michael will continue to lead CTM’s activities and remain responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction.

CTM’s executive committee will now consist of Alessandro Canzian, the company’s chief commercial officer, Orietta Siri, the chief operating officer, and Luigi Pulcini, the chief financial officer.

The executive committee will report directly to the chief executive officer.

Alessandro Canzian, who took the role of chief commercial officer (CCO), has been with the company since its inception. He served on the executive committee and has been the director of capesize up to very large ore carriers (VLOCs) for the past seven years. Additionally, he has co-managed Capesize Chartering Ltd since 2016.

The changes in the management structure became effective on March 3.

John Michael Radziwill commented about Carlos Pena’s appointment: “It is with great excitement and optimism that we welcome our new CEO as we begin a fresh chapter in the growth of our company.

“It has been a long time in the making for Carlos to take over the reins of the business – his character, creativity, knowledge, skills, and experience will further enhance our disciplined and constantly evolving and adaptable platform in its pursuit of value creation for each ship owner and investor whom CTM serves. We look forward to the new CEO improving overall performance and propelling us forward!”
