Roro/passenger operator United Marine Egypt (UME) has partnered with vessel management company CTM.
The news came to light after UME said in a social media post that has officially signed a comprehensive technical and commercial agreement with CTM, paving the way for the construction of a new bulk carrier vessel.
“We are excited to share that we have officially signed a comprehensive technical and commercial agreement with CTM, strengthening our collaboration and paving the way for the construction of a new bulk carrier vessel.”
No further details about the deal were revealed but UME said that this agreement not only covers the shipbuilding process but also includes close supervision to ensure the highest standards are met.
“This partnership is a testament to the strong relationship between our companies, built on mutual trust and a shared vision for the future of the maritime industry. Together, we are committed to delivering a state-of-the-art vessel that embodies our dedication to innovation, quality, and operational excellence,” UME added.
According to its website, the operator United Marine Egypt (UME) – which provides ship management, dry cargo and roro/passenger services with owned and chartered tonnage – has a fleet portfolio of three vessels, comprising of Ropax Poseidon Express (built in 1990), Ropax Gubal Trader, and Ropax Wasa Express.
