India-based Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has contracted to sell its supramax dry bulk carrier, Jag Rishi, to an unaffiliated third party.
The company didn’t disclose the identity of the buyer, or the exact amount it stands to earn from the sale of the ship.
The Mumbai-based shipowner said the ship Jag Rishi of about 56,719-dwt, built in 2011, will be delivered to the new buyer by the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025.
The company has contracted to sell the supramax vessel on January 24 with no price mentioned.
Including the vessel Jag Rishi, the company’s current fleet stands at 39 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 4 LPG carrier) and 13 dry bulk carriers (2 capesize, 8 kamsarmax, 3 supramax), aggregating 3.10 Mn dwt.
