The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) is optimising its fleet by selling the Jag Vishnu, acquiring a second-hand VLGC and an ultramax dry bulk carrier, and divesting one kamsarmax, all aimed for completion in Q4 FY26.
G E Shipping has contracted to sell its 2002-built very large gas carrier (VLGC) Jag Vishnu to an unaffiliated third party, the company said in a stock exchange filling on December 26.
The 77,922 cbm vessel will be delivered to the buyer in the fourth quarter of FY26.
According to the disclosure, the agreement to sell Jag Vishnu was executed on December 26, 2025.
The company’s current owned fleet, including Jag Vishnu, stands at 39 vessels. This includes 25 tankers (comprising of 5 crude tankers, 16 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (2 capesize, 10 kamsarmax and 2 supramax), aggregating 3.17 million deadweight tonnes.
In addition to the VLGC sale, the company has contracted to purchase one second-hand very large gas carrier and one second-hand ultramax dry bulk carrier.
It has also agreed to sell the kamsarmax dry bulk carrier Jag Aarati.
The company said these purchase and sale transactions are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of FY26.
