Bermuda-based drybulk owner Himalaya Shipping has agreed to convert the index-linked time charter for the 210,000-dwt Mount Etna to a fixed rate time charter at a rate of around $38,800 per day, gross, from 1 October to 31 December 2025.
The shipowner said the vessel will continue to earn scrubber benefits according to the terms of the existing time charter agreement.
From 1 October to 31 December, the company has six vessels fixed at an average rate of approximately $36,300 per day, gross.
Currently, Himalaya Shipping, incorporated in Bermuda, has twelve vessels in operation.
Last week, Himalaya Shipping said it had agreed to convert the index-linked time charter for the 210,000-dwt Mount Bandeira to a fixed rate time charter at a rate of approximately $38,000 per day, gross, from 1 October to 31 December 2025.
