Greek bulker specialist M/Maritime founded by Greek Mytilineos is now in full control of all the 18 ships in its fleet, following the delivery of the fourth Imabari built vessel under its management.
The Athens-based company, which is backed by Greek entrepreneur John G. Mytilineos, announced on its website that it has gained “full management” of the handysize 37,692-dwt vessel Amber Star, built in 2017 by Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan, after the end of the ship’s five year charter-in agreement with Japanese owners.
“Following the completion of a 5-year charter-in agreement with Japanese owners, M/Maritime took delivery of MV Amber Star. GR, a 37,692-dwt vessel built in 2017 by Imabari shipbuilding in Japan,” writes the statement.
The bulker was smoothly delivered under the company’s full management on May 20, 2024, at the port of Acajutla in El Salvador.
She is the fourth Imabari built vessel to be delivered under the management of M/Maritime since the company’s establishment.
Following this delivery, the fleet under M/Maritime’s full management rises to a total number of 18 dry-bulk Japanese vessels with an average age of 6.7 years.
All seafarers onboard Amber Star have previously been onboard an M/Maritime vessel.
