Faroe Islands-headquartered shipowner Navigare Shipping & Logistics has struck long-term charter deals for a quartet of mini-bulkers.
The owner Navigare Shipping & Logistics has entered into long-term charter agreements for four Groot 5200 XL vessels with Briese Schiffahrts GmbH & Co. KG / Delft Schiffahrt GmbH&Co.KG, and BERND BECKER Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG, according to the company’s release.
The company with a short post in the social media called the transaction an “exciting partnership” and stated that this collaboration aims to strengthen commercial ties and reinforce its commitment to sustainability in shipping.
The company was founded by the Højgaard family in 1966 with one dredger vessel called “Pilot”. In the beginning the company’s focus area was dredger vessels, but has gradually moved to general cargo vessels.
In recent years, Navigare Shipping & Logistics has steadily grown its fleet to around 15 vessels. The latest addition to the Navigare fleet was announced few days ago where the company took over the Helena VG in Szczecin, Poland.
As it is reported, the unit is en route to the shipyard for upgrades and will be renamed Hav Sand. She is expected to enter full operation as a self-discharger by July.
