Norden signs MoU with miners REMINAC

Denmark’s Norden, a shipping company known for its ocean-based freight services for bulk and project cargo of all sizes, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Gabon-based miners Central African Mining Resources (REMINAC) to explore logistics and freight solutions for the future export of iron ore from the Baniaka project in Gabon.

The collaboration between Norden and RIMINAC will assess how iron ore can be transported efficiently from mine to market, covering ocean freight, transshipment, port logistics and wider supply chain solutions through Gabon and the port of Pointe-Noire.

For large-scale resource projects, logistics is a key factor, Norden says, and by engaging early, the company can help design efficient and reliable export solutions that connect production with customers around the world.

Norden advises in its announcement that the agreement reflects its growing involvement in African commodity flows and its ambition to work even closer with customers and partners on integrated freight and logistics solutions.
