The Oslo Børs-listed offshore company Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, has confirmed the sale of the installation support vessel Seaway Moxie, marking a new chapter for a vessel that has been part of Seaway7’s offshore wind story for more than a decade.
“The sale reflects our continued focus on core offshore wind installation activities, providing greater flexibility to source support vessel capacity according to the needs of individual projects, allowing us to optimise assets and continue to deliver efficient solutions for our clients,” Seaway7 wrote in a post on social media.
Purpose-built for the offshore wind sector and in service since 2014, Seaway7 said the vessel Seaway Moxie was one of the first vessels of its kind and has contributed to major cable installation projects across Europe for over a decade.
Seaway7 disclosed the buyer of Seaway Moxie, which is CBED, a specialist provider of walk-to-work vessels to the offshore energy sector.
It further said the vessel will continue supporting Seaway7’s existing project commitments through to early 2028.
