Italy’s d’Amico International Shipping, a family business operator in the product tanker market, has sealed through its operating subsidiary d’Amico Tankers D.A.C. (Ireland), a new two-year time charter deal for one of its MR2 vessels.

The new charter starts between November and December 2024, with a reputable counterparty, d’Amico said, at a very “profitable daily hire.”

Following the latest fixture, DIS said it has 39% of its available vessel days fixed at a TCE rate of approximately $27,100 per day for the fourth quarter of this year, whilst 25% of its available vessel days are fixed at a TCE rate of around $25,530 per day for the fiscal year (FY) 2025.

Meanwhile, 17% of its available vessel days are fixed at a TCE rate of around $25,075 per day for the fiscal year (FY) 2026.

Carlos di Mottola, chief executive officer of d’Amico International Shipping, said: “DIS continues to steadily increase its time-charter coverage, and I am pleased to announce the conclusion of a highly profitable two-year contract with a reputable counterparty.

“The terms of this deal once again highlight the positive outlook for our market and demonstrate the strong interest from our clients in securing long-term agreements at very attractive levels for us.”
