The market on the first day in September was a mix of different activity levels in the dry bulk market. The capes had slower activity, the panamax a little better activity, the supramax and handysize both with very marginal better activity.
The capesizes had slower activity and therefore the result was with minor falling rates in almost all areas and directions. For the panamax size the activity was little better and the market reacted with minor increasing rates in almost all areas and directions.
For the supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage the market had little better activity levels for both sizes. The supramax tonnage had further marginal better activity and with very minor increasing rate levels in most areas and directions. For the handysize vessels the market was also with little better general activity, and resulted in marginal increasing rates in all areas and directions.
The European coaster market was today with little improved activity level. In the Baltic Sea area or on the Continent the freight rates were with minor increasing rates. The freight rates in the Black Sea area were with very minor falling rates and the Mediterranean had unchanged rate levels today.
The tanker market was today with little slower level of activity. The crude oil tankers had little slowing activity resulting in very minor falling rates in most areas and directions. The product tanker market was with good activity and it resulted in slight increasing rate levels from the various loading areas.
