Mariehamn-based ro-ro shipowner Godby Shipping has announced several key charter agreements and contract extensions for its fleet.

The Mistral, currently on time-charter to Sea-Cargo until the end of October, will directly thereafter start a new time-charter for Lakeway Link. Together with her sister vessel Lakeway Express (formerly Miranda), she will be employed on the Gdynia – Södertälje line.

Following this assignment, Mistral will go to Remontowa shipyard in Poland for installation of new propeller blades, a new bulb and some other routine dock jobs. Godby Shipping claims that the new blades and propeller are expected to give a fuel saving of minimum 35% at speeds up to 13 knots. Her sister vessel, Miramar Express, will go through the same process.

Meanwhile, the Aurora has -since Godby Shipping took her over in January 2025- been employed in Peregar traffic between Algeciras and Ceuta. The contract has now been extended until March 2026.

The company didn’t disclose any financial details about the charter agreements.
