Norway’s chemical tanker company Odfjell reported that during the quarter it took delivery of one newbuilding on long-term time charter.
The Oslo-listed company said in its second quarter earnings report that it took delivery of the 26,000-dwt Singapore-flagged newbuild chemical tanker Bow Jaguar on long-term time charterparty.
Odfjell also concluded contracts for a further two newbuildings on long-term time charter with scheduled delivery in 2027 and 2028, the company added.
This move increases the total number of newbuildings on order for Odfjell to 17 vessels, including owned and time chartered, accounting for approximately 20% of the total orderbook in its core, deep-sea segment.
Meanwhile, the company reported that the time charter earnings in Odfjell Tankers ended at USD 215 mill, compared to USD 195 mill in 1Q24.
