Luxembourg-headquartered maritime leasing and asset ownership company Seven Yield has secured five-year time charters for two pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs) with a major Chinese automobile manufacturer.

The agreements cover the sisterships Siem Confucius and Siem Aristotle, with the vessels scheduled to be delivered into their new charters in 2027 and 2028, respectively.

The 2020-built vessels were the world’s first deep-sea PCTCs equipped with LNG dual-fuel propulsion, according to a company’s announcement.

Measuring approximately 200 metres in length and 38 metres in breadth, each vessel has a carrying capacity of 7,500 car equivalent units.

The agreements secure employment for both vessels for a further five years, supporting Seven Yield’s long-term contracted revenue base.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, with offices in Singapore and Norway and representation in Australia, China, the United Kingdom and the United States, Seven Yield operates globally.
