Angelicoussis’ MTM adds third dual-fuel suezmax tanker to fleet

Maran Tankers Management, a shipping unit of the Greek Angelicoussis Group, is expanding its fleet portfolio with another tanker.

The Greek company took recently delivery of the Maran Menelaus, the third dual-fuel suezmax tanker in an eight-vessel series.

The 155,500-dwt vessel was built in New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China and sails under the Greek flag.

New Times Shipbuilding confirmed the delivery of the ship to the Greek shipowner on July 14.

The Angelicoussis Group, a privately owned group of affiliated shipping companies dating back to 1947, operates a diversified fleet serving the oil, gas and dry cargo markets through Athens-based companies, Maran Tankers Management (MTM), Maran Gas Maritime (MGM) and Maran Dry Management (MDM), and Maran Shuttle Tankers (MST), based in Stavanger, Norway.

To remind, Maran Tankers Management is the oil tanker shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Group. MTM was established in 1992 to manage the oil tankers of Angelicoussis Group.

The Maran Tankers Management has 51 ships under management and an orderbook of 12 ships. In total, the Group has a fleet portfolio of around 159 vessels and 31 ships on order.
