The Enesel, a large private Greek company, wholly owned by Andonis and Filippos Lemos, the current generation of the Captain Nikolas S. Lemos Family, took delivery of an Aframax vessel by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.

The tanker was delivered to the company recently and both parties sealed another successful delivery.

Enesel project team sent a letter to the shipyard expressing its gratitude for the work on the ship and its satisfaction and recognition on the construction process at every stage.

“The shipyard overcame many difficulties in the construction process and quickly responded to the effective organization and coordination of on-site work, providing a strong guarantee that the construction and equipment phase of the ship will be delivered in a state of high integrity,” the shipyard said.

The shipowner until now didn’t confirm the delivery of the new ship. The shipyard characterised the new ship as a “superstructure” and anticipates for a continuation in the cooperation in the future.

Enesel and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding joined forces on several projects.

Earlier this year Enesel S.A., which is one of the four shipping-related companies of Enesel Group, announced the launching of the Aframax/LR2 vessel, hull No. H1512 that was carried out on 30th of December 2022 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding No.2 Dry-Dock.

This is the first in a series of three vessels ordered by the company.

The Enesel Group is one of the longest continuous presences in the shipping industry. It was founded in 1848 by Andonis and Filippos Lemos’ ancestors, and has sailed the seas for more than 174 years.
