The heads of the Union of Greek Shipowners and the German Shipowners’ Association (Verband Deutscher Reeder-VDR), met yesterday in the premises of the Greek Union of shipowners in Piraeus, and pledged closer cooperation amid a heavy agenda.
The President of the UGS Ms. Melina Travlos with the members of the Executive Committee, and the President of the German Shipowners’ Association, Dr. Gaby Bornheim, accompanied by the association’s CEO Dr. Martin Kröger, had the opportunity to discuss current shipping issues and the developments at the EU and international level, as the Greek side said yesterday in a statement in social media.
As the UGS also said, “both Ms. Travlos and Dr. Bornheim reiterated that the two associations see eye to eye on many shipping topics and confirmed their intention for enhancing their collaboration.”
