Greek shipowners continue to focus on second-hand bulk carriers

Greece’s dry bulk player Load Line Marine S A strengthened its fleet portfolio through the second-hand market with another handysize bulk carrier.

The company revealed in a social media post on Tuesday that it added to its fleet the handysize bulk carrier “Kallisti”, which was build by SPP shipyard in Korea.

“Kallisti” is a 37,763-dwt vessel build in 2009 by SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, in South Korea.

This is the second handysize bulk carrier that the Greek shipowner took delivery in only few days.

Recently, the shipowner added the 36,391-dwt handysize bulk carrier “Lapis Lazuli”, built by the same shipyard in South Korea in 2010.

Few weeks ago, it received the “Aurora Trader”, a 37,020-dwt handysize bulker build in 2012 by Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (China).

Few months ago, it also added the handysize 35,991-dwt “Aquila Trader” build by Samjin Shipbuilding Industries Co., Ltd (China) and the handysize 35,114-dwt “Juliette”, built by Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. (S Korea). Both vessels were built in 2012.

According to information available on its website, Load Line Marine S A has a fleet consisting exclusively of ultramax, supramax, and handysize bulk carriers.
