Greek shipowner Meadway Shipping is changing the name of its operations this month.

Effective February 19, the dry bulk player will be known as Drydel Shipping.

At Drydel Shipping the owner is opening a new chapter in order to avoid any confusion due to similar company names.

This rebranding is designed to set Meadway Shipping apart in the marketplace and eliminate any confusion due to similar company names.

The Greek owner tried to reassure its clients that there will be no change in ownership, team, or operations.

“Please rest assured this change will not impact our ownership, team, or operations. All existing contracts, services, agreements, and commitments remain in place,” reads the company’s statement.

The renaming of the company also includes name changes as far as Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd. which will be renamed Drydel Shipping Singapore, Meadway Shipping DMCC which will be renamed Drydel Shipping DMCC, as well as name change to Meadway Maritime Chartering S.A. which will also be renamed Drydel Maritime Chartering S.A.

“Thank you for being a crucial part of our journey. As we build on Meadway’s rich history of more than 35 years, we look forward to achieving continued success together with the new name of Drydel Shipping,” said the company.
