Denmark-based Navigare Capital Partners adds a second LPG carrier to its fleet portfolio. The fund management company specialising in investments in maritime assets has welcomed the LPG carrier Navigare Gaia to its fleet, measuring 220 meters long and having a carrying capacity of 84,000 cubic meters.
The vessel Navigare Gaia is on a five-year contract with Shell, and she has recently loaded at the Shell Prelude FLNG facility.
Prelude FLNG is the largest floating offshore facility in the world, Navigare Capital Partners said, designed to remain moored for at least 25 years and produce LNG, condensate and LPG from an offshore field approximately 475km north-east of Broome in western Australia.
“Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) plays an important role in the energy transition as it provides access to clean cooking and heating for societies that currently rely on traditional fuels. Petroleum gas is also a key feedstock in the petrochemical sector, replacing oil-based naphtha,” reads the statement of the company in the social media LinkedIn.
Few months ago, Navigare Capital Partners announced the delivery of a pair of container feeder vessels MV Cape Sorel and MV Cape Serrat.
Both vessels were delivered in China, and they have started their employment immediately after.
These new ships are the last of the six 2700 TEU container feeder vessels through the joint venture with Schoeller Holdings, an investment company based in Limassol, Cyprus.
According to Schoeller Holdings in a LinkedIn post, the vessel Cape Serrat built by CSSC, HuangPu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co. Ltd in Guangzhou, was delivered on April 2.
