
Saudi Arabia’s ARO Drilling, a joint venture between oil and gas company Saudi Aramco and drilling contractor Valaris, has secured an extension for offshore drilling Jack up rigs.
The drilling contractor ARO Drilling which owns, operates, and manages a fleet of jack-up rigs in Saudi Arabia, has entered into a five-year deal with Saudi Aramco for the extension of five offshore drilling Jack up rigs.
The deal includes the 2003-built offshore rig Bob Palmer, the 2008-built Rowan Mississippi, the Rowan EXL-IV 83, the Ensco 140 and ENSCO141.
“This significant contract marks a key milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its operations and further contribute to the Kingdom’s economic growth,” the company said in a short post on social media LinkedIn.
Saudi Aramco and Valaris Companies have worked together continuously in the Saudi Arabian market since 2006.
As ARO Drilling reports, the offshore drilling market in Saudi Arabia is expected to expand, creating considerable demand for drilling services.
