Australian headquartered Cyan Renewables has announced that MCO 1 BV with subcontractors Sentinel Offshore Vessels Limited, Cyan Sentinel Limited and Sentinel Marine Netherlands (collectively referred to as: Cyan Sentinel), has been awarded the four-year framework contract for offshore fisheries patrol vessel services.
Cyan Sentinel will therefore keep supporting the operations of the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA).
This award follows a competitive tender process, according to Cyan Renewables statement.
Under the four-year contract, the vessels Ocean Guardian, Ocean Protector, and Ocean Sentinel will continue to support EFCA’s operations across the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Western Waters, and international and regional fisheries management regions.
These vessels remain the only seaborne patrol assets directly coordinated by an EU agency, playing a vital role in fisheries control, maritime surveillance, search and rescue, and pollution response activities.
“The three 62-metre Multi-Role Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) combine operational reliability, dynamic positioning capability, fuel-efficient performance, advanced communications systems, and high standards of onboard accommodation. Their versatility enables them to undertake a wide range of missions while meeting demanding operational and environmental requirements,” Cyan Renewables wrote in a post on social media.
