DEME completes €900m acquisition of offshore wind contractor Havfram

Euronext-listed offshore energy contractor DEME has completed the acquisition of Havfram, an offshore wind contractor based in Norway, for a value at around €900m euros, DEME said in its release.

As it is reported, DEME Offshore Holding NV, a subsidiary of DEME Group NV, has acquired all of the shares in Havfram Wind Holdco AS from Sandbrook Capital and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments).

Havfram, a Norwegian offshore wind infrastructure company that is focused on providing transport and installation services to the offshore wind sector, is currently building two next-generation wind turbine installation vessels.

These two vessels, which have already been contracted for the second half of 2026, are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025 and early 2026.

Havfram has an orderbook amounting to around €600m euros, and this includes providing support for the construction of some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms for the period 2026-2030.

Its team will be integrated into DEME’s Offshore Energy segment under the DEME brand, while continuing to operate from its current location in Oslo, Norway.

DEME said that it is financing this transaction using a combination of external funding and internal resources.

The company expects this acquisition to expand its presence in the offshore wind energy market.
