The Luxembourg-headquartered offshore energy player Subsea7 has announced the award by UK-based oil and gas operator Ithaca Energy for the provision of off-station decommissioning services for the Alba Floating Storage Unit and Greater Stella field FPF-1 production facility.
The Alba Floating Storage Unit and Greater Stella field FPF-1 production facility is located approximately 230 kilometres east of Aberdeen, and the decommissioning scope includes the flushing of the subsea pipelines, provision of diver support vessel services, and seabed clearance.
The project management and engineering will commence immediately at Subsea7’s office in Aberdeen with the offshore activities scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
Subsea7 states that the contract is valued as being between $50m and $150m.
