Noble Innovator

The UK-headquartered Noble Corporation plc (Noble) has announced in the social media the new contract with bp for the Noble Innovator to drill 6 firm wells for the Northern Endurance Partnership Project (NEP) in the North Sea.

The Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) is developing onshore and offshore infrastructure needed to transport CO2 from carbon capture projects across Teesside and the Humber to secure storage under the North Sea.

It was mentioned in the statement by Noble, that bp provides operatorship services to NEP.

The new drilling contract, which is in direct continuation of the current contract with bp, is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and it contains an option for two additional wells.

Blake Denton, SVP marketing and contracts at Noble, says that “Supporting the Northern Endurance Partnership advances our role in delivering the well infrastructure behind the UK’s net-zero ambitions,” adding that, “This award reinforces our leadership in offshore carbon storage, and we value the continued trust that bp places in our crews.”
