The Brazilian offshore services player OceanPact has signed four new contracts with Petrobras worth approximately BRL 3.2bn (around $590m) for the chartering of ROV support vessels (RSVs) over a four-year period.

The charter agreements are for the Parcel do Bandolim, Parcel das Timbebas, Parcel das Paredes and Parcel dos Reis.

To remind, the company has a fleet portfolio of 28 owned vessels, including RSVs, OSRVs, PSVs, RVs, MPSVs, and AHTSs.

The vessels will be employed in operations with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for the inspection of subsea structures, preventive and corrective maintenance, installation and removal of subsea equipment, among other activities, across Petrobras’ offshore units.

OceanPact will be responsible for the full operation of both the vessels and the ROVs, which can operate at depths of up to 3,000 meters and include a wide range of tools for various subsea activities.

The company at the end of last year signed a BRL 697m contract with Petrobras for the chartering of the Ilha do Mosqueiro vessel, an offshore terminal support vessel (OTSV), also on a four-year term.
