OEG Renewables, a division of OEG Energy Group, has inked a deal with Diverse Marine to bareboat charter a newbuild Chartwell Ambitious Class crew transfer vessel.
The vessel will be on charter with OEG Renewables for a five-year period, joining the existing UK fleet in September next year to support construction as well as operations and maintenance activities for new and existing customers.
Benefitting from a large clear saloon, the crew transfer vessel can accommodate 24 passengers, OEG Renewables said, with a large forward working deck space of 70m2.
Earlier this month, OEG Renewables also revealed a contract with Strategic Marine for the order of a newbuild crew transfer vessel (CTV).
As it is reported, the vessel which is due for delivery to Taiwan in February 2025 will support OEG Renewables’ offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region.
“OEG Renewables’ marine service line is well equipped to support the development of offshore wind projects throughout the UK, Europe and Taiwan, with strategically placed vessels in each region. Through our fleet of owned and chartered vessels, the company is well positioned to continue supporting the ever-evolving project needs of our customers and the global energy transition,” said Leif Cooper, marine services director for OEG Renewables.
