The Norway-based offshore tonnage supplier Olympic Subsea ASA has announced in social media that it was awarded a long-term contract with Aker BP for the commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) Olympic Notos.
The CSOV Olympic Notos has secured a five-year Walk-to-Work (W2W) contract with Aker BP scheduled to commence in Q1 2026, with options for another five years.
The vessel will be supporting the unmanned Munin platform in the Yggdrasil area, as well as the Valhall PWP-Fenris hook-up campaign in 2026.
The Olympic Notos, a hybrid-powered vessel based on the ULSTEIN SX222 design, is ideally suited for the demanding conditions of the North Sea and the Norwegian Continental Shelf, as the company mentions.
Stig Remøy, CEO of Olympic, said: “This contract brings Olympic’s total backlog across oil and gas and renewables to more than USD 500 million,” adding that, “It’s a clear endorsement of our flexible fleet, our people, and our long-term strategy for sustainable offshore operations.”
