Østensjø Rederi wins multiple new contracts for its offshore fleet

Haugesund-headquartered offshore maritime service provider Østensjø Rederi has sealed multiple new contracts for its offshore fleet.

The contracted vessels include subsea vessels Edda Flora and Edda Fauna, the construction vessel Edda Freya, Flotel’s Edda Fides and Edda Fortis and the PSV Edda Frende.

The firm period of the contracts has a total value, Østensjø Rederi said, of approximately NOK 3 billion.

Norway’s Østensjø Rederi and DeepOcean have agreed to extend the existing contracts for Edda Freya and Edda Flora through 2026 and Edda Fauna through 2027.

“We are very pleased to have entered new contracts with our trusted business partner, DeepOcean. The vessels have since their delivery been under contract with DeepOcean and the extension of this collaboration highlights the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to delivering exceptional maritime services”, said CEO of Østensjø Rederi, Kristian Helland Vea.

The commencement of the contracts is scheduled as a direct continuation of current contracts.

Furthermore, Offshore Flotel Edda Fides’ contract has been extended with the current charterer for approximately 6 months, with additional options available. The vessel provides accommodation and general support services for charterers’ operations offshore Angola.

On the other hand, offshore flotel Edda Fortis will commence a firm 4-month contract, with additional options available, for an international client this spring. The vessel will serve the client’s project in the Mediterranean Sea, providing offshore accommodation and general support services to the charterer.

Meanwhile, PSV Edda Frende will commence a 1-year firm contract with Shell UK in the first quarter of 2025. The contract includes further options, and the vessel will be performing supply duties in the North Sea on the UK continental shelf.

“We are grateful for our client’s trust in us to execute advanced offshore operations for their projects involving flotels and PSVs,” Vea added.
