Norway’s Salt Ship Design AS is boosting its design portfolio with more orders. The latest order announced in its official website involves six multipurpose platform supply vessels (MPSV’s).
The ship design company located in Stord, Norway, said on Monday that its clients have declared two options and ordered in total six multipurpose platform supply vessels (MPSV’s) from Pax Ocean Shipyard.
The vessels will be built at Pax Ocean’s shipyard in Zhoushan, China and the Salt Ship Design’s client have an option to order additional four vessels. The company didn’t disclose the name of its client.
The new vessels will feature the latest advancements in offshore technology and are designed to accommodate future installation of a 100-ton active heave compensation (AHC) crane or a gangway system.
The key design specifications of the vessels include length overall 92.9 meters, breadth 20.3 meters, deck area 1,020 square meters, and personnel on board 60.
The company said it will deliver a comprehensive design package, including detail design, for the vessels.
