Oslo Børs Exchange-listed Sea1 Offshore has announced it would be signing management agreements for six anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels owned by the Viking Supply Ships AB (publ.) group.
Viking Supply Ships has currently in its fleet portfolio the Magne Viking, Odin Viking, Loke Viking, Njord Viking, Brage Viking, and Andreas Viking AHTS vessels.
The company expects the transfer of the vessel management to Sea1 Offshore to be completed during October 2024 and is subject to final documentation.
“The initiative is expected to result in substantial cost optimizing effects to the benefit of all shareholders,” reads the statement.
Viking Supply Ships AB (publ.) has confirmed the news mentioning that “its subsidiaries intend to outsource the management of their six AHTS vessels to the Sea1 Offshore Inc group.”
The initiative is expected to result in substantial cost savings effective from 1Q 2025 to the benefit of all shareholders, says Viking Supply Ships, which adds that it will retain its world-class ice-competence and the shares of the company will remain listed on Nasdaq First North.
Viking Supply Ships (VSS) core business is within the offshore and offshore/icebreaking segment, whilst its fleet comprises of six Ice classed AHTS and five ice breakers.
