The Norwegian-based offshore shipowner Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) has announced a contract award for the construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Pioneer with Brazilian oil major Petrobras.

The construction support vessel will be on a bareboat contract from the vessel owner Solstad Maritime ASA (SOMA) to Solstad Offshore ASA, which is the contract holder with Petrobras.

SOFF informs that the Normand Pioneer will be mobilized with a heave compensated E-type gangway system from Ampelmann to the contract.

This new charter contract will commence in October 2025, and the duration of the contract is 180 days firm. It has a gross value of around $17m, including mobilization, as SOFF states.
