The Norwegian shipowner and offshore tonnage provider Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) has announced a contract extension and amendment for the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Normand Turquesa with Petrobras.

The current contract with Petrobras has been extended by one year, and the commencement of the previously announced four-year contract has been amended from the first quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027.

This represents an additional gross value of approximately $15.4m, according to Solstad Offshore.

To remind, the previous approved and signed contract with Petrobras for the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) Normand Turquesa had a duration of 4 years and a gross value of around $84m.

SOFF states that following this amendment and extension, Normand Turquesa now has a firm commitment with Petrobras until January 2031, with a total gross contract value of approximately $100m.

Normand Turquesa AHTS is of UT 722 L design, built in 2007. The vessel is 80.4m long with 18.00m breadth moulded.
