London-based shipbroker SSY is expanding its Offshore Vessels division with two new hires in January 2025. As it is reported, Andreas Hageli and Thomas Kittelsen will join the broking group in January to focus on subsea vessels and special projects.
Hageli held the position of chief commercial officer at Sea1 Offshore, (formerly Siem Offshore), where he worked for the past seven years. Prior to this, he spent thirteen years at Pareto Shipbrokers where he held the position of senior partner.
Kittelsen also worked at Sea1 Offshore, where he held the position of chartering manager for over a decade. Prior to this, he worked for engineering giant TechnipFMC and Westshore Shipbrokers, today part of SSY.
Both brokers will be based at SSY’s Kristiansand office in Norway, while Hestnes will continue to operate out of SSY’s Dubai location.
Martin Hestnes, SSY’s offshore subsea and projects manager, said: “We are grateful to have secured such extensive expertise within the Offshore Vessel industry with Andreas and Thomas. Their backgrounds will play a crucial role in our growth, and we firmly believe that their experience will matter to our success”.
Stanko Jekov, managing partner, SSY commented: “Since launching into the Offshore sector last year, we have moved at pace to establish our proposition, attracting many of the most respected brokers to the firm. The addition of Andreas and Thomas to the team is undoubtedly welcome news and will only further accelerate our strategic ambition to become a leading player in this sector”.
