The Luxembourg-headquartered offshore energy player Subsea7 has announced the award of a contract by US headquartered oil major Chevron for subsea installation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The contract work for Subsea7 includes the transport and installation of approximately 17 kilometres of subsea flowlines and umbilicals.

The company notes that the project management and engineering will begin immediately and will be managed by Subsea7’s office in Paris, France with the physical offshore activities expected to commence in the first quarter of 2028.

Subsea7 states that the contract is valued as being between $150m and $300m.
