The port of Odessa in Black Sea and a hotel suffered damages in an attack by Russian troops last night, reports Ukrinform news agency.

“Tonight, rescuers eliminated fires caused by enemy shelling in Odessa region,” writes in social media the main department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.

The news agency posts that rescuers show destroyed buildings of seaport and hotel.

As result of night attack on Odesa, buildings of Seaport, hotels in historical center, granaries, warehouses, several households damaged, another Ukrainian news agency, Intefax Ukraine, reports.

Intefax Ukraine said that port infrastructure facilities, granaries, warehouses of a private enterprise and several households in the suburbs of Odesa were damaged, citing information from the local Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO).

Odesa Sea Terminal and the hotel nearby suffered significant damage.

“The hotel at the Sea Port in Odesa was a landmark and a bright attraction for everyone who has ever been to our city. Today, Russia destroyed it,” the rescuers said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out yesterday that “Protecting Odesa region is a priority in all my negotiations regarding air defense.”

Earlier this month Ukraine retook control of the Boyko Rigs, gas and oil drilling platforms off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

The news have been confirmed by Defence intelligence of Ukraine in a statement in X (former twitter).

“A unique operation to regain control over the Boyko Rigs was executed by the units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. In particular, the Petro Hodovalets and Ukraina drilling platforms, as well as the Tavrida and Syvash rigs, were brought back under control,” the statement says.
