Rotterdam based Hapo International Barges B.V. (Hapo), an off- or onshore operations company involved in heavy lift, and heavy lifting transport and barging, founded in 1987, has announced the recently completed purchase of HM Holland Projects BV and HMH Realty BV, two companies with combined 229-meter quayside in Bolnes (Oostdijk 29, Rotterdam).
The location of this new purchase is part of the Verolme yard in Rotterdam (near Ridderkerk / Slikkerveer), where traditionally a significant number of shipyards were located, and thousands of men work on all kinds of maritime projects.
This quayside lays just outside the Port of Rotterdam jurisdiction and is therefore an excellent spot for longer lay up of barges during idle periods, as the company informs.
Hapo also delivers quay side services such as outfitting/mobilisation and demobilisation of barges from this new purchased location.
