Luka Koper, a Slovenia public limited company providing port and logistics services in the port of Koper, announces that its port has reached a new milestone by handling a record-breaking 900,000 cars in the year 2023.

Not only these latest figures for 2023 reflect an exceptional year for the port of Koper, but same was already predicted by the monthly record set in November 2023 when Luka Koper port handled 88.837 car units.

Luka Koper operates 840 m shoreline with 6 berths and 5 Ro-Ro ramps for car handling. It is having open storage areas of 670.000 m2 for 34.000 parking lots, plus covered storage areas of 225.000 m2 with 10.000 parking lots.

Alone the railway facilities have loading/unloading ramps on 15 tracks with a total length of 7.1 km, where Luka Koper handle vehicles of more than twenty world car makers.

The company states that the car imports originate mainly from Japan, South Korea and Turkey, while the European production is exported through the Port of Koper terminal.
