The Canadian family-owned agri-business company Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has announced that it has purchased a deep-water bulk marine export terminal in Quebec City, QC (Canada) from Societe En Commandite Terminal Grains.

“Located in a key eastern shipping corridor and at the Port of Quebec, the Quebec City terminal is a highly efficient facility that will play a critical role in enhancing P&H’s ability to serve its customers from coast to coast,” the company states in its statement.

The bulk terminal, operated by Sollio Agriculture since 2021, will also continue to benefit from the expertise and experience of its current employees, P&H said, who will remain in place to operate the facility.

John Heimbecker, CEO of P&H, said that “The addition of a Quebec City terminal is a strong fit for our long-term growth strategy.”

He added, “It allows us to offer even more reliable and efficient service to our customers, while optimizing our logistics and supply chain capabilities across the country.”

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is a company with roots in the agriculture industry dating back to 1909 and is now having over 70 locations from coast to coast in Canada with trade links around the globe.
