A deadly Russian ballistic missile attack on the port infrastructure in Odesa region on Wednesday has left five people dead and nine others injured, according to the Deputy Prime Minister for restoration of Ukraine, minister for communities and territories development of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba.

“Five dead and nine injured is the consequences of another ballistic missile attack by Russian terrorists on the port infrastructure in Odesa region,” the post reads.

The injured were all Ukrainian nationals, Kuleba wrote on the Telegram and X post. Currently, those injured are getting medical assistance, five are in serious condition.

“My condolences to the families of the victims. Speedy recovery to the injured,” he said.

During the attack, a container ship flying the flag of Panama was damaged. This is the third foreign ship attacked by Russia in the last four days. Today, Ukraine remains a guarantor of food security.

As it is showed in the marine traffic website, the ship was at Chornomorsk on October 8.

Over the past few days, Ukraine has experienced a series of intense Russian attacks including the port infrastructure strike in Odesa region, and a ballistic missile struck in a civilian ship in Pivdennyi seaport.

In the last 24 hours, Russia has deployed two missile carriers in the Black Sea, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

As it is furthermore reported, there are no Russian ships in the Sea of Azov, whilst in the Mediterranean Sea there are two Russian ships.
