88.1 million tons of cargo were exported by sea in 2024, compared to 56.2 million tons in the previous year.
This was reported by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
Furthermore, Ukrainian seaports in 2024 processed a record 97.2 million tons of cargo – exceeding the 2023 figure by 57%.
“Agricultural products accounted for about 60 million tons of the total volume, confirming the key role of ports in the export of the Ukrainian agricultural sector. 88.1 million tons of cargo were exported by sea, compared to 56.2 million tons a year earlier,” the ministry noted.
These achievements testify to Ukraine’s ability to maintain and develop its export potential, the ministry said, “even in the face of military aggression and constant attacks on critical infrastructure.”
