The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said in an advisory note on Monday that the master of a merchant vessel reported that the vessel was hit by an Uncrewed Aerial System.
UKMTO has not named the vessel involved but revealed that the incident took place 58 nautical miles west of Al Hudaydah, Yemen.
There are no casualties onboard, and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call, it added.
As it is reported, authorities are investigating, and vessels are now advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.

Earlier that day UKMTO also reported an incident 70 nautical miles northwest of Saleef, Yemen with the master of the vessel reporting that being hit by two unknown projectiles.
UKMTO said damage control is underway, and a third explosion occurred in close proximity to the vessel.
There are no casualties onboard and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call.
