All 16 crew members of the Panama-flagged general cargo ship Sealloyd ARC were rescued and brought to safety after the vessel suffered water ingress and developed a list on Saturday, February 7 off Phuket, according to the Royal Thai Navy report.
The 6,479-dwt vessel built in 2005 reported distress, with the alert logged at 15:18 local time.
The Third Naval Area Command’s operations centre said it was alerted that the Panama-flagged Sealloyd ARC began experiencing water inflow, causing the ship to list and at risk of sinking, with 16 crew members stranded onboard.
Following the report, Thailand authorities dispatched maritime units to rescue the stranded crew. No fatalities were recorded.
The Sealloyd ARC, en route from Port Klang, Malaysia, reported taking on water and experiencing a severe list.

A multi-agency response was activated, including regional maritime enforcement and naval units.
Naval and maritime units work to mitigate navigation hazards and prevent pollution. Local navigation warnings have been issued for vessels operating near the incident area.
Patrol boats and a reconnaissance aircraft continue to monitor the site.
